Company key milestones for Investors

Microvisk has continued to grow since the last fund raising round and is pleased to announce not only new Board appointments, but also a broadening of its patent portfolio. Bill Moffitt has joined as Chairman and Peter Whitehouse as CFO; both have strong backgrounds in the pharmaceutical sector and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. The additional patents are for the USA and Japan and more information is contained in the recent press release.

Microvisk are very pleased to announce that they have completed a further internal funding round in December 2010 for £6m. This brings the fund raising total for 2010 to £10.5m which is believed to be the highest amount raised in 2010 in the UK for a pre revenue biotech company.

Microvisk is pleased to announce that it has raised a further £2.5m in July 2010 from its current investors by way of a Rights Issue. The offer was significantly oversubscribed reflecting the shareholders confidence in the progress of the company towards a marketable product.

Microvisk Technologies is pleased to announce that during January 2010, it has raised £2m by attracting new investors and retaining support from its current private and institutional investors.

DATE NEEDED
The development program is now focused on the completion of simple hand held instruments with disposable plastic test strips for the measurement of Prothrombin Time; both in the Doctor’s office and the home testing environments.

2007
The 2007 funding enabled Microvisk to expand into new premises in St Asaph and Chipping Warden, providing the space and resources for future expansion and to assist the further development of the technologies and applications.

2006
The 2006 funding enabled Microvisk to conduct a trial at St Bartholomew's Hospital Group in London with assistance from Professor John Pasi, Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis and the results were spectacular in regards of the performance of our prototype when compared to systems already on the market.

Microvisk was formed in 2004 as a spin out from Rutherford Appleton Laboratories with its first patent being filed in December 2003.

CoagMax® and CoagLite® devices set for trials in major US medical centres
Microvisk Technologies has introduced its unique handheld devices which monitor the blood clotting status of patients to the US market at the prestigious American Association for Clinical Chemistry annual conference. The Microvisk devices attracted strong interest from distributors and potential partners ahead of clinical trials in major US medical centres this autumn and product launches in 2012.
